Office to-do
If you work for a small company, own a small business, or are an entrepreneur, then this list is perfect for you.
To kickstart your day, brew yourself a delicious cup of coffee using a pour-over method - it's more eco-friendly and uses less energy than an espresso machine. Don't forget to use your own mug or thermos for your coffee, and try to remember to turn off the power when you're not using it - even if you're not the one paying the bill.
Lastly, your laptop battery will thank you if you don't leave it charging all the time.

Low Energy Brewing
Consider brewing method with lower energy consumption: French press, aeropress or pour-over coffee. Coffee and espresso machines are smart but find one with lower power consumption that powers off when not used.

Carry a mug
Coffee lids are made of plastic, but did you know that to-go cups are made of plastic as well? Yep, 16 billion single-use cups end up as plastic trash in the EU each year. So, bring your own reusable mug.

Drop styrofoam cups
Drop styrofoam cups and bring your own from home. Or spend a little of your marketing budget on new cups with company logos on them.

Invest in a good printer
Don't waste your money on a cheap printer! They're not eco-friendly and end up costing you more in the long run. Look for a refillable ink printer or laser printer instead. Also, try to print on both sides of the paper to save trees. And remember to turn off your printer when you're not using it.

Use rechargeable batteries
If you're using electronics with disposable batteries, consider transitioning to rechargeable ones. Not only do rechargeable batteries save you money over time, but they also decrease the plastic packaging and spent batteries that contribute to environmental harm in landfills.

Pick an environmentally-friendly phone company
Chose a network provider that is carbon neutral or supports a good cause like GreenSpeak in Denmark or HonestMobile in the UK

Travel
The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us that we can reduce our travel and opt for virtual meetings instead. If your employees still need to travel often, consider finding a travel agency that offers carbon offsetting and prioritizes direct connections, such as Goodwings.
