Scanpan is a Danish maker from Ryomgård in Jutland, founded in 1956, and the strongest European answer to premium non-stick. Its pans are cast from 100% recycled aluminium and topped with the company's own Stratanium coating, which is tough enough to tolerate metal utensils.
Where the carbon steel and iron brands demand seasoning and care, Scanpan is the low-maintenance pick: dishwasher-safe, easy release from day one, and made entirely in Denmark rather than outsourced to Asia like most non-stick.
