Le Creuset

Le Creuset

France France

Le Creuset is a French cookware maker founded in 1925 in Fresnoy-le-Grand in northern France, and the reference name in enameled cast iron. Its Dutch ovens, skillets and braisers are individually sand-cast and hand-finished, and the cast iron line is made in France and carries a lifetime guarantee.

The orange Volcanique colour is a design signature, but the real appeal is longevity: buy once and hand it down. Le Creuset is privately held and sits at the premium end of the market, a piece people keep for decades.
