Fissler is a German cookware maker from Idar-Oberstein, founded in 1845, best known for its stainless steel pans and its Vitaquick pressure cookers. The Vitaquick is essentially the pressure-cooker standard in German kitchens.
Fissler sits a little below Demeyere or Le Creuset on status but is more accessible on price, and its Original Profi and Adamant lines are solid, everyday German engineering. Fissler has stayed a fixture of German kitchens for well over a century.
