Tuta Mail is a German, privacy-first alternative to Gmail and Outlook that encrypts mail, calendar and contacts end-to-end. Often described as the German answer to Proton, it leans even harder into end-to-end encryption and open source, with clients for web, iOS, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux.
The trade-off is a slightly less polished interface, but the free plan and low entry price make it easy to try. Paid tiers add a custom domain and unlimited aliases from around €3 a month.
