Lindt & Sprüngli is a Swiss chocolate maker and one of the most recognisable premium names in the world, known for smooth-textured bars and truffles. Swiss-owned and publicly listed, it runs its own cocoa farming program in Ghana, Ecuador and Madagascar.
That gives Lindt more control over sourcing than most large brands, though the company has been criticised for slow progress on child labour. With around 14,000 employees, Lindt sits at the accessible end of premium chocolate.
