August Storck is a German family-owned confectioner behind widely sold sweets such as Werther's Original, Toffifee, Merci and Knoppers. With around 6,100 employees, its products are on shelves across Europe.
The honest caveat is ethics: Storck discloses very little on sustainability, and it not only stayed in Russia after the 2022 invasion but reportedly increased its exports there by more than 50%, which is why it is flagged here.
