Rakuten TV is a European video service run from Barcelona, part of the Japanese Rakuten Group. Rakuten TV combines a transactional store, where you can rent or buy films and series, with a large free ad-supported (FAST) offering of themed channels, including a lot of local European content.
Rakuten TV is available across more than 40 European territories and has expanded aggressively into FAST channels, running well over a hundred of its own. Worth being clear that although it is operated from Europe, its ultimate parent company is Japanese rather than European.
