Asos began in 2000 as As Seen On Screen, selling copies of clothes worn by celebrities, and grew into one of the world's biggest online-only fashion retailers. Its own labels, Asos Design, Asos Edition and Collusion, are priced close to Shein while being designed in London. The company lost ground after 2021 and has spent recent years cutting stock and costs, but it still ships to most of Europe from its warehouses in the UK and Germany, and its returns policy is one of the more generous in the segment.
