Switzerland Switzerland

Kaspar Tanner founded the ropery in Dintikon. The mammoth logo arrived in 1943. The Swiss group Conzzeta owned Mammut from 1982 to 2021, then sold to Jacobs Capital, the Jacobs family office. Mammut stopped making ropes in Switzerland in 2016. In July 2026 Jacobs Capital announced the sale of Mammut to CPE, a Chinese investment firm, with closing expected later in 2026. The headquarters stays in Switzerland. Ownership will no longer be European once the deal closes.
