Yves Rocher

Yves Rocher

France France

Yves Rocher started in La Gacilly, Brittany, in 1959 and is still owned by the Rocher family through Groupe Rocher. It grows part of its own ingredients in Brittany, makes its products in France, and sells through its own shops across Europe.

The botanical story is real, but the company has carried on in Russia as if nothing happened. It kept its stores open, kept paying local taxes, and in March 2023 Ukraine's National Agency on Corruption Prevention added Yves Rocher to its list of international sponsors of war. Nothing has changed since.

Our verdict: weak. The last place on this list, and not recommended while the Russian business continues.
