HelioSphera was a Greek manufacturer of thin-film micromorph solar modules, opening a plant in Tripoli in 2009 with a capacity of around 60 MW per year.
HelioSphera ceased production in 2012 and was declared bankrupt in 2017, a cautionary example of a European solar maker that could not compete with low-cost Chinese imports, and its factory was set for public auction in 2025.
