Tchibo belongs to maxingvest, the Herz family holding that also controls Beiersdorf (Nivea). The company is the market leader in roasted coffee in Germany, Austria, Czechia and Hungary, and the weekly non-food ranges account for a large part of its sales. Around 850 own stores and thousands of supermarket counters back up the online shops. Tchibo does not run a marketplace, so the range is narrower than Allegro or Otto, but everything is Tchibo's own stock at prices that compete with the Chinese apps.
