Morsø

Denmark Denmark

Morsø is one of the oldest names in Danish cast iron, founded in 1853 on the island of Mors in northern Denmark — and still designing and casting there today.

Known for: hand-finished cast-iron grills and wood-fired ovens built to be handed down rather than replaced. The company was established by N.A. Christensen as the Morsø Iron Foundry and built its early reputation on wood-burning stoves, earning a Royal Warrant as supplier to the Danish Royal House in 1915.

Its move outdoors came naturally: the same heavy cast iron that made those stoves last generations now goes into Morsø's grills, fire pits and the Italian-inspired Forno oven launched in 2012. Because every piece is poured at Morsø's own foundry, the grills carry the brand's signature heat retention, durability and timeless Nordic design — a genuine premium alternative to Weber for buyers who value craftsmanship over gadgetry.
