Dropbox Alternatives

Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and iCloud are not the only options. Europe has excellent alternatives with stronger privacy, better pricing, EU data hosting and open-source software.

Google Drive scans your data. OneDrive pushes a Microsoft 365 subscription. Dropbox limits free accounts to three devices. iCloud locks you into Apple. The services on this list give you more control over your files without the trade-offs.

Consider end-to-end encryption, storage location (EU vs. US), pricing, free storage limits, and whether the software is open-source or self-hostable. The right fit depends on whether you are an individual, a team, or a business with compliance requirements.
