Orbea is a Basque company from Spain with roots going back to 1840, when it started out making firearms before switching to bicycles in 1930. Since 1969 it has been a worker-owned cooperative and part of the Mondragon group, and it is now Spain's largest bike manufacturer, assembling in its own factories in Spain and Portugal.
Its e-bike range is performance-focused, covering e-road and e-MTB models such as the Gain series plus urban bikes, and it relies on Shimano Steps motors and batteries.
