Brompton is the British maker of the iconic folding bike, created in London by Andrew Ritchie in the mid-1970s and still manufactured in the UK. Its electric version keeps the famously compact fold while adding pedal assist, and the company employs over 800 people.
The e-bike uses a custom front-hub motor developed with Williams Advanced Engineering, paired with a detachable battery pack you can carry separately. Brompton sells through a global dealer network and its own Brompton Junction stores, as well as a direct online shop, so it is easy to buy and service across Europe.
