Ownership: Semperit is a wholly owned subsidiary of Continental AG, the German tyre group. Like Barum, it functions as a mid-tier brand within the Continental portfolio, positioned between Continental's premium range and Barum's budget tier. There are no separate shareholders.
Known for: Austrian heritage brand with one of the longest histories in European tyres, founded in Vienna in 1824. Particularly well regarded for winter and all-weather performance in Alpine and Central European conditions. The Speed-Grip line has a strong reputation for winter traction at a lower price than Continental's flagship WinterContact range.
Manufactured in: Produced within Continental's European manufacturing network. Key production takes place in Traiskirchen, Austria, as well as at Continental facilities in Germany and other European locations.
