Pinarello is an Italian frame-maker from Treviso, founded in 1949, and the most successful Tour de France brand of the 21st century. Sky and later Ineos rode the Pinarello Dogma to nearly a decade of Tour wins, and Visma-Lease a Bike races Pinarello today.
On ownership: the LVMH-backed private equity firm L Catterton owned Pinarello from 2016 until 2023, when it sold the company to a private family office, with reports linking the buyer to former Glencore chief Ivan Glasenberg. Fausto Pinarello stayed on as chairman, and design and high-end manufacturing remain in Treviso.
