Tier is a Berlin-founded micro-mobility operator that merged with the Dutch company Dott in 2024 to create Europe's largest shared scooter and e-bike platform, spanning around 250 European cities. The combined business is backed by investors including SoftBank, Mubadala and Goldman Sachs.
For European cities it is a cleaner, locally rooted alternative to the American scooter brands, with a large footprint that makes it easy to find a vehicle. Unlocking a scooter usually costs about 1 euro plus 20 to 25 cents a minute, and monthly subscription tiers run from roughly 15 to 40 euros for people who ride often.
