Pipistrel is a Slovenian aircraft maker and a genuine pioneer of electric aviation — its Velis Electro became the world's first type-certified electric aeroplane. Founded by Ivo Boscarol in Ajdovščina, it built a global reputation for light, efficient aircraft and was acquired by Textron.
Pipistrel shows that the future of clean flight is being prototyped in Slovenia.
