NRC works in 30+ countries with around 15,000 staff, funded by the Norwegian government, the UN, the EU and private donors. It runs particularly serious operations in Ukraine, Yemen, Afghanistan and the DRC, with a specialism in education in emergencies alongside protection and assistance for displaced people.
NRC hosts the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC), the global authority on internal-displacement statistics that everyone from UNHCR to academic researchers depends on.
