Bershka launched in 1998 as the young, cheaper sibling of Zara and now runs more than 1,000 shops plus online stores across Europe. Like the rest of Inditex, it designs in Spain and produces much of its range close to home, in Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Turkey, which lets it react to trends in weeks rather than months. Prices sit only slightly above Shein for tops, dresses and denim. Pull&Bear takes a more casual line and Stradivarius a slightly older one, and all three share Inditex's returns and store pickup network.
