# Systematic (SitaWare)

Systematic was founded in Aarhus in 1985 by Michael Holm and Allan Schytt, who started out tracking warships on the Baltic. The company is still privately held, with Holm keeping a controlling interest, and its software now reaches around one million military users daily, including 18 NATO members and all Five Eyes armies. France and the German Bundeswehr both expanded their SitaWare deployments in recent years, which makes Systematic one of the few European firms already embedded where Palantir wants to be.
