# BLIK

> <p><strong>Known for:</strong> Poland's national payment scheme, with more than 21 million users at home. Six-digit codes for online checkout, phone-number transfers, and payments at nearly every Polish shop. Since April 2026 BLIK also works across the border: Slovak users pay at Polish merchants from their own banking app. No new app, no new registration.</p>

BLIK is owned by Polski Standard Płatności, a company set up by the largest Polish banks. BLIK joined EuroPA in May 2025 and is now running a euro transfer pilot: selected Santander Bank Polska customers can receive euros from MB WAY users in Portugal, with Bizum, Bancomat and Vipps MobilePay next in line. PKO Bank Polski is preparing to join with both sending and receiving. PKO's customers alone already make over 50 million domestic BLIK phone transfers per quarter.
