# Fnac Darty

Fnac started as a Paris buying club for photographers and became the country's cultural department store, while Darty built its name on appliance service contracts. The merged group is listed on the Paris stock exchange, with Daniel Kretinsky's Vesa Equity and Germany's Ceconomy as its largest shareholders. Fnac Darty bought Italy's Unieuro in 2024, making it one of the biggest electronics retailers in Southern Europe. Click and collect from more than 1,000 stores is its main edge over pure online players.
