Mojang Studios is a Stockholm studio founded in 2009 by Markus "Notch" Persson, and the maker of Minecraft, the best-selling video game of all time with more than 300 million copies sold. The game is still developed in Stockholm.

The honest caveat is ownership: Microsoft bought Mojang in 2014, so while the team remains Swedish, the IP belongs to Redmond. Minecraft continues to receive regular updates and has grown into a broader franchise spanning spin-offs and a feature film.
