DICE, sometimes written EA DICE, is a Stockholm studio founded in 1992 as Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment. DICE is the home of the Battlefield series, Mirror's Edge and Star Wars Battlefront, and it develops the Frostbite engine used across most of Electronic Arts' studios.

The honest caveat is that EA has owned DICE since 2006, so it is American-owned but still Swedish-engineered. Frostbite remains foundational to EA's wider portfolio, which keeps the Stockholm team central to the publisher's technology.
