# Buy local food in season

> <p>Locally produced food that is not produced in greenhouses generally emits less CO2 than products produced abroad and transported to Denmark by air. Organic products are not necessarily better for the short term climate, but they are more sustainable and environmentally friendly in the long run.</p>
