Customers hand in the old part and get money off a remanufactured one, rebuilt at the main plant in Flen, Sweden. Separate company from Volvo Cars.</p>

Volvo started remanufacturing gearboxes in Köping in 1945, and remanufacturing has run in Flen since around 1960. The operation moved into a new factory on the Talja industrial estate, fully up and running from August 2025. The unit now goes by the name Volvo Group Circular Operations and Solutions, and its range covers more than 100 products, including electronics, batteries and electric motors.
