Free Now is Europe's largest taxi-aggregation app, connecting riders with licensed taxis and premium private hire across around 150 cities in Germany, the UK, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Greece, Poland, Romania and Czechia. Free Now is the most widely deployed way to hail a regulated taxi from your phone in much of Europe.

One honest caveat is worth flagging: although the product grew up in Hamburg, Lyft acquired the platform in 2025, so the corporate parent now sits in San Francisco rather than Germany. The consumer app itself is unchanged and still the default in many European cities, with fares at standard, mostly regulated taxi rates and a slightly higher premium tier.
